Important First Step: Before exporting to Apple Music for the first time, open the Music app on your Mac, go to Settings -> Files, and uncheck the box that says "Copy files to Music Media folder when adding to library". This prevents your hard drive from filling up with duplicated songs.

How to use the Traxi Ecosystem

  1. Analyze your Library: Open Traxi Hub on your Mac and click Analyze Traktor Library. This will read all your playlists, loops, and hotcues from Traktor and pack them into a lightning-fast database.
  2. Export to Apple Music: Click Export to Apple Music. Traxi Hub will automatically scan your library and create two smart playlists in Apple Music: Traxi_Full_Library (all your songs) and Traxi_Orphans (songs you deleted in Traktor). Sync your iPhone normally so these playlists appear on your phone.
  3. Play on iOS: Open the Traxi app on your iPhone. It will connect to your Apple Music library and seamlessly restore all your Traktor metadata, waveforms, and hotcues on the go.
  4. Keep it fresh: Made changes in Traktor? Just open Traxi Hub, run the Analyze and Export steps again, and tap Refresh Apple Music to force Apple to read any new tags you added.
